Position:      Payroll Executive

Location:     Cardiff City Centre

Salary:          £28,000 - £34,000 DOE

Hours:           Full time, Monday to Friday (no weekends / evenings)

Contract:      Permanent

The successful Payroll Executive will be responsible for the following:

  • Respond and resolve payroll queries
  • Prepare reports as required to Client Accountant
  • Administering and processing statutory notifications & statutory payments
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement across the payroll 
  • PAYE & NI reconciliation
  • Pension administration including auto enrolment pension scheme
  • Administration and checking of weekly, bi-weekly and monthly payrolls, including processing all payroll changes including back pay

For your application to be successful for this Payroll Executive role for a FinTech business in Cardiff, your CV should demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Knowledge of all tax documentation, e.g. P60’s & P11D’s etc.
  • Knowledge of HMRC regulations of PAYE and NI
  • Knowledge of SSP, SMP and SPP
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills
  • Advanced Excel skills with all round strong Microsoft Office.
  • Pension knowledge including reconciling monthly deductions/payments
  • CIPP Qualified would be desired
  • Continuous improvement projects from conception to completion
  • Experience with Brightpay/Sage desired
  • Solid payroll background
